Volunteer Days
Once again, we will need volunteers to assist us with putting the captains orders together and assembling the Mile of Hope.
Here are nights and days that we will need assistance:
Captain's Pick Up Nights
November 1 & 2, 6:00PM-8:00PM
Mile of Hope Assembly
November 7, 6:00PM-9:00PM
All volunteer nights above will be at our volunteer center, PAWS PET RESORT, 312 East Johnson Ave, Cheshire
Mile of Hope Set Up
November 12, 2:00PM-4:00PM
Mile of Hope Clean Up
November 13, 9:00AM

50,000 Luminaries Arrived & Ready for Delivery
Our hard working volunteers completed the entire Captain's orders in one night and they are ready for delivery next week.
Captains--Please note time change of Captain's Pick Up Night. We will be there from 6:00-8:00PM. Let us know if this won't work for you.
Mile of Hope
Over 2,000 luminaries will be lit along the Mile of Hope, which stretches from Bartlem Park to the Cheshire Academy entrance.
Thanks to all the businesses who helped sponsor this area.
We are still looking for more sponsors. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please fill out our Business Sponsorship Form.
Order Luminaries Online Until October 30
You can still order luminaries on line until 10/30/11. If you were unable to order through a Street Captain, but would still like to make sure you will have luminaries on November 12, you can click here: Online Orders
Each kit will cost $12.00 and will have to be picked up at PAWS on one of the Captain's Pick Up nights, November 1 or 2.
Straight Donations can be made by going to our website as well.
Additional Luminaries on Sale Today
A limited supply of additional luminaries have gone on sale at R.W.Hines Ace Hardware, Timberline, and PAWS Pet Resort. Each kit will cost $12.00.
If you didn't have chance to order from your street captain, don't miss out on this opportunity. Don't wait, over 6,500 were sold last year on the day of the event.
Sand
Over 6 yards of sand has been delivered to PAWS. If you are a captain and providing the sand to your neighbors, we suggest you get there as soon as possible. You can estimate a 1 gallon ziplock bag of sand per kit. There are shovels there for your use. Thanks to Superior Stone Supply, Cheshire Stone & Supply, Preferred Properties, and Jay & Joann Monroe for their generous donation of this sand.

We are looking for a storage location we can use year round to keep our supplies. Please let us know if you have any space you can donate to our organization. We will need at least a 10 x 10 area that we can have access to. We appreciate any help you can provide.
