Our 2008 Luminary Event
We anticipate this years 2008 Luminary to be a success; however, that can only happen with your participation and support. Our fundraising goals are further diversified this year, relative to last years 2007 event. This year, the proceeds raised will go to three different charities.
The first one is The Hayley's Hope and Michaela's Miracle MS Memorial Fund, a locally restricted fund to assist the 6,000 Connecticut residents afflicted with MS.
The second charity is The Petit Family Foundation. The Foundations funds are given to help foster the education of young people, especially women in the sciences; to improve the lives of those affected by chronic illnesses; and to support efforts to protect and help those affected by violence.
The third charity will be the establishment of the Cheshire's Lights of Hope Scholarship fund. This is a scholarship that will be awarded to a senior at Cheshire High School who, through volunteerism, best exemplifies the mission of Cheshire's Lights of Hope.
Our 2007 Luminary Event
This event, held on January 6, 2008 due to a weather delay, raised $127,000 for The Hayley's Hope & Michaela's Miracle MS Memorial Fund.
